Proper Wine Room Temperature

Aim for a consistent temperature between
45°F to 65°F.

Optimal temperature varies depending on the type of wine:

  • Red Wines: A temperature near 55°F is generally considered ideal for long-term storage.
  • White Wines: A slightly cooler range of 45–50°F is preferred for extended storage.
  • Sparkling Wines or Champagne: Cooler temperatures of 40–45°F are recommended.
Proper Wine Room Humidity

Optimal humidity range for a Wine Cellar is between 50 and 80% RH.

Adequate humidity keeps corks moist so they don’t dry out and let air seep into the bottle. This helps preserve the wine’s flavors and prevent premature aging or oxidation.

Consistency is key when storing wine. Fluctuations in temperature or humidity can cause corks to expand or contract, potentially allowing air into the bottle and affecting the wine’s quality.
