Shipping policy
Clear shipping expectations from checkout through delivery
WineCellars.com ships everything from small accessories and modular wine racks to cooling systems, refrigerators, doors, and made-to-order products. Processing time, carrier method, and delivery requirements vary by item, so we explain the important details before your order leaves.
Processing time and transit time are separate. A delivery estimate begins after payment is authorized and all required selections, measurements, finishes, and design approvals are complete. Product-specific terms, written quotations, and manufacturer requirements may also apply.

Parcel or freight
Your order may arrive by parcel carrier, freight carrier, or direct manufacturer shipment, depending on its size and requirements.
Inspect on arrival
Check every package or pallet promptly and note visible damage before signing a freight delivery receipt.
General shipping information
These terms apply to purchases made directly from WineCellars.com unless your product page, quotation, order confirmation, or custom-order agreement states otherwise.
Order processing and lead times
Processing begins after payment is authorized and all required order details are confirmed. Made-to-order, customized, stained, and manufacturer-supplied products may require additional production time before shipment.
Estimated dates shown on the product page, quotation, checkout page, or order confirmation reflect the best information available when the order is placed.
Rates and destinations
Additional charges may apply to Alaska, Hawaii, United States territories, APO/FPO addresses, international destinations, expedited service, oversized items, limited-access locations, or delivery services beyond the standard method.
When a rate cannot be calculated at checkout, we will provide a shipping quote before finalizing the order.
Tracking and split shipments
Tracking information is sent when it becomes available. Products in the same order may ship separately, arrive on different days, or use different carriers.
Expedited transit does not shorten production or processing time unless we confirm that in writing.
Address changes and delivery delays
Review your delivery address carefully and contact us immediately if a correction is needed. Once an order enters production or ships, an address change may not be possible.
Carrier delays, weather, holidays, inventory changes, and other events outside our control can affect estimated dates. We will share significant updates when they are available.
Freight and oversized deliveries
Large wine racks, cooling systems, refrigerators, doors, and other oversized products may require a scheduled freight delivery.
Plan for access, unloading, and inspection
Standard freight service is normally curbside. It does not include unpacking, assembly, installation, inside placement, or removal of packing materials unless those services are specifically listed in writing.
- Provide an accurate phone number so the carrier can arrange delivery when an appointment is required.
- Tell us before shipment about gates, stairs, narrow roads, limited-access sites, or other delivery restrictions.
- Liftgate, inside delivery, residential, limited-access, re-delivery, and storage services may add charges.
- Have an adult available to receive, inspect, and sign for the shipment.
Cooling system shipping details
Cooling units have additional carrier, inspection, and delivery requirements. The following summaries apply to WineCellars.com orders for these brands.
WhisperKOOL
Most in-stock WhisperKOOL units are prepared for shipment within approximately two to three business days after order details are confirmed. Expedited service may be available by request, but it does not include weekends or shorten any required processing time unless confirmed in writing.
- Direct shipments are intended for deliverable street addresses in the contiguous 48 states. Contact WineCellars.com before ordering for Alaska or Hawaii.
- P.O. boxes, United States territories, and international destinations may not be eligible for direct manufacturer shipment.
- Warehouse pickup must be approved and arranged through WineCellars.com before ordering. Approved pickups are generally held without charge for five days, after which a $25 daily storage charge may apply. An order not collected within 14 business days may be canceled and assessed a 25% restocking charge.
- Inspect the unit and packaging promptly. Shipping damage must be reported to WineCellars.com within 30 days of delivery.
CellarPro
In-stock CellarPro systems generally leave the warehouse within several business days. Transit time begins after the unit ships and depends on the model, carrier, and destination.
- Most 1800 Series units, except the 1800H, ship by parcel carrier. Standard transit is generally one to five business days. Expedited one-to-three-business-day service may be available for an added charge.
- A signature may be required for higher-value parcel shipments. If nobody can receive the package, contact us before shipment to discuss an eligible alternate address.
- VS Series units, split systems, air handlers, Houdini systems, and other large equipment normally ship palletized by common carrier. Standard service is curbside, with typical transit of two to 14 business days.
- Liftgate, inside delivery, limited-access service, or a guaranteed delivery date may require an additional charge and must be arranged before shipment.
- Inspect freight before signing. Record all visible damage on the carrier's delivery receipt or bill of lading, photograph it, and contact WineCellars.com immediately.
Please note: Manufacturer processing times, carrier methods, service areas, storage rules, and fees can change. If current requirements materially differ from this summary, WineCellars.com will explain the difference before fulfillment whenever possible.
